Peter pan collars: Audrey Hepburn as fashion icon

Peter pan collars
Peter pan collars are prevalent in most, if not all retail stores. The style is influenced by the era of the 1945-160's. It has transcribed into the 21st century, creating a sophisticated but a trendy look. There are many influences which encouraged peter pan collars to enter mainstream fashion.

Audrey Hepburn - The small waist and high neck shirt look

My theory regarding fashion is that you should wear your clothing with confidence, regardless on how many people who do or do not appreciate your style. As long as you are 100% comfortable with what you are wearing, it should not matter about anybody else's opinion. Only you can reflect your individual style.

Steal the concept: Preppy

Get the look: Preppy inspired

The definition of a 'Preppy style' is quite controversial but it is a form of style from a subculture. In modern terms, anyone can be inspired from the preppy style. At present, more people are styling their clothes by combining different fashion tastes. This is probably because a lot of stores such as Topshop and H&M stock up on high neck shirts and edger styles. However you too can display a keen interest in a different style without feeling intimidated.

How To Style: Pussy - Bow Blouses

Pussy - Bow Blouses
A/W11 Season: Pussy bow blouses have been particularly exposed this season, perhaps because they are effortlessly sophisticated but none the less accessible to any style. They are inspired from the 70's and derive from the Retro style.

This image here represents a classy, chic and well dressed person who has adopted a good sense of fashion. The connations of this reflect a independent, motivated and focused person. Who would not want to carry those characteristics? Fashion is not always about exterior, it also says a lot about the inner voice of a person.
